Dr Deepak Bhatia completed his orthopaedic surgical training at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. He is fellowship trained in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and upper limb at leading institutes in Belgium, South Africa, and Australia. His clinical practice is focussed on sports injuries of the upper limb. He is currently an Asst. Professor in Orthopaedic surgery at the Seth GS Medical College, and a shoulder and upper limb surgeon at Sportsmed Mumbai. He is a current member of the Elbow, Wrist, and Hand committee of ISAKOS, and a founding member of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of India.

Dr Bhatia is actively involved in clinical and cadaveric lab research. His research interests include shoulder instability, distal biceps ruptures, and development of minimally invasive surgical techniques.
