Dr Roger van Riet received his medical degree at the University of Antwerp and completed his residency at the University Hospital of Antwerp. He also holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Fontys Hogescholen.

Dr van Riet most recently has received an honorary membership to the German Shoulder and Elbow Society after his invited guest lecture on radial head. Dr van Reit is also currently a National Delegate, Belgium at SECEC (2013- present), the General Secretary at Belgian Elbow Shoulder Society (2013-present) and Associate Editor at Shoulder & Elbow (2011-present) just to highlight some of his involvements.

Dr van Reit was also an Upper extremity fellow at Royal Adelaide Hospital (2006) and at Monash University (2005) in Australia.
