Professor Eiji Itoi has profound expertise on shoulder arthroscopic surgery, osteoporosis and biomechanical research on shoulder joint mechanism.

Sports orthopaedics, spinal surgery, hip and knee joint surgery, rheumatoid arthritis and musculoskeletal tumours are also treated extensively in our department.

Professor Itoi is a member of the Japan Shoulder Society and is an active faculty member of the Orthopaedic Surgery School at Tohoku University School of Medicine.
