Associate Professor Greg Bain

Greg is a member of the Australian Hand Surgery Society and former President of the Australian Shoulder and Elbow Society and the South Australian Hand Society. He has published widely in international journals on disorders of the upper limb. He has a special interest in anatomy, trauma, arthroscopy and minimally invasive surgery. Greg is Associate Professor at the Department of Anatomy and also Orthopaedic Surgery within the University of Adelaide. He is a Senior Visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon to the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) and Modbury Public Hospital.

Dr Peter Bautz

Peter is an emergency surgeon, in addition to his role as a trauma and general surgeon at the RAH. He trained in South Africa, and has extensive experience in penetrating and military trauma. He has a particular interest in penetrating trauma, damage control surgery, abdominal sepsis, and is actively involved in surgical and operative trauma training.

Dr Grant Christey

Grant trained in New Zealand as a general surgeon and has a strong and long-standing interest in general surgery and trauma. He completed a trauma fellowship at Auckland Hospital followed by appointment as Conjoint Trauma and General Surgeon at Liverpool Hospital in Sydney and Lecturer in Surgery at the University of New South Wales. He is currently a General and Trauma Surgeon; Director of Trauma at Waikato Hospital; Honorary Senior Lecturer in Surgery at Waikato Clinical School; and Director of the Midland Regional Trauma System.

Associate Professor Tony Pohl

Tony is the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics and Trauma at the University of Adelaide. Having completed his basic medical degree at the University of the Witwatersrand, in Johannesburg, South Africa. Tony immigrated to Australia 30 years ago. He completed the Advanced Orthopaedic training program in Adelaide in 1987, before taking a full time position at RAH and was awarded his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Adelaide in 1991.

Dee completed her undergraduate training in Cape Town, South Africa, and then worked in Trauma with the Helicopter Rescue Service for two years in Johannesburg, before going to a rural hospital for a two year stint. She then returned to Cape Town and did two years of Paediatric Day Surgery, before entering the Obstetric and Gynaecology Training Rotation. Post Fellowship, she spent two years doing Obstetric and Gynaecology Ultrasound before going to Saudi Arabia for five and a half years, where she worked in Perinatology. In 2005 she arrived in Adelaide and is currently a Senior Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Women's and Children's Hospital.
