The Spine Society of Australia was founded in 1990. Its roots can be traced to the foundation of its predecessor, the ‘Facet Club,’ in 1971. Today the strength of the Spine Society lies in its diversity of membership. The society has orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, basic scientists, biomechanists, physicians, radiologists and therapists as members.
The society is basically an educational body. This ‘Fundamentals’ course is the first of its kind. It represents the society’s wish to become involved in more general education about spinal conditions.
This single day meeting is meant to be a general update for the ‘non expert’. In keeping with our multidisciplinary philosophy, material will be delivered by a diversity of surgical and non surgical speakers. This course is being held immediately prior to our Annual Scientific Meeting. You are welcome to register for all or part of this two and a half day meeting as well.
