Professor Di Bartolomeo is the Director of the Cardiac Surgery Unit at the Cardiovascular Department of the Alma Mater - University of Bologna (October 2002 – Present). Speciality interests include: Surgical treatment of thoracic and cardiovascular diseases, mitral and aortic valve repair, minimally invasive valve surgery, thoracic aneurysms, homografts, use of alternative conduits in coronary artery surgery. Author of 260 scientific publications in national and international journals.
