Call for Abstracts

Scientific papers are invited for oral presentations. Authors should submit abstracts written in English to Taylored Images no later than 1200 noon Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Monday 11 August 2008. Papers received after this date will not be accepted for inclusion in this year's program.

Taylored Images is Interactive. This enables you to view & amend your existing data on the current conference database. The procedure streamlines your abstract submission and registration process offering ease, efficiency & 24 hour access. The Interactive System is "live"; allowing new & existing conference delegates to register, submit abstracts, book accommodation and much more. Interactive increases accuracy & supplies you with an automatic summary & confirmation of your abstract and registration instantly upon submission.

Previous ASCTS Delegates - with email

If Taylored Images has your email address, you will receive a personal unique access key. This key is your personalised login. Use this unique key any time you access the website to view and edit your existing personal data.

New or ASCTS Delegates - without email

If you are a new or ASCTS Delegate without email follow the below Submission Methods to submit your abstract. At the end of your initial interactive session you will be issued your unique access key to be used any time you access the website.

All abstracts submitted are subject to review by the Scientific Program Committee and will, if accepted, be assigned to either oral or poster presentation. Authors may indicate preference for oral (podium) presentation and/or poster presentation during the interactive Abstract submission process. Once abstracts have been accepted for presentation, no changes will be accepted to their content.

Manuscripts are also invited for submission for the 2008 TAG prize by ASCTS Registrars, Fellows and Trainees only. See details in Manuscripts section below.

Submission Methods

(ABSTRACTS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED ELECTRONICALLY)

Please ensure you adhere strictly to the abstract formatting guidelines. These guidelines must be followed in order for your abstract to proceed for review.

1. Click on "Submit Abstract" and follow the prompts
2. It is essential all photographs and diagrams are embedded within the document, prior to uploading the abstract
3. On submission, you will be issued a unique abstract access key which will allow you to view and edit your abstract/s after submission until 1200 Monday 11 August 08

Manuscripts

The Scientific Committee and Council of the ASCTS require all entrants for the TAG prize to submit a manuscript at the conference registration desk prior to their presentation. All other presenters are strongly recommended to submit a manuscript on the basis of their presentation. This can be submitted to Heart Lung Circulation before the end of 2008.

Abstract Format

All submitted abstracts MUST follow the guidelines as set by the Scientific Program Committee to be accepted.

Receipt and Confirmation

All abstracts received will be acknowledged to the presenting author instantly on submission. The final outcome of the review process will be notified to all presenting authors by Friday 29 August 2008.

Acceptance of the Abstract will not have a bearing on the registration fee, which will be paid to attend the meeting. All persons should be aware that the dates included for the payment of registration and cancellation fees will be strictly administered.
