Dr Pierre Barouk is a member of the French Foot Surgery Association & the European Federation of Foot Societies. His interests are in all pathology of the foot and ankle, particularly pathologies of the forefoot. Dr Barouk was involved in the development of modern concepts of treatment of pathologies of the front foot; Osteotomy scarf and Weil. He was also involved in the publication of an original book on the subject of the retraction of gastrocnemius muscles or twin muscles of the calves bringing together the best specialists in the world of this newly recognized pathology and finds applications in many foot and ankle diseases including problems of plantar talalgia or Tendinitis of the Achilles tendon.
